Willamette Valley Company’s innovation in coating application is an automated, self-cleaning stencil system. This stand-alone system is designed for integration into existing production lines. Individually-controlled spray guns are automatically activated to apply paint only where needed to reduce waste. Between loads, a unique water wash chamber passes around the stencil plate where water jets clean both sides of the stencil simultaneously. The wash chamber also houses squeegees that wipe the surface of the stencil plate. A customized air knife directs airflow into the cut-out elements of the stencil for additional cleaning and drying. A cleaner stencil plate results in greater clarity and consistency. An integrated exhaust system helps keep the area around the stencil system clean.
