EXTRUSION APPLICATION SYSTEM
The WVCO Precision Technologies Extrusion System is designed to provide accurate adhesive spread to the substrate. Glue is delivered to the fluid on/off valve and extrusion head via a pressure pot, supply pump, or metering system. When a pressure pot or pump is used, the glue is pressurized so it will flow through the hose, fluid on/off valve, and extrusion head. A metering system allows glue flow to be controlled by a regulator on the head plate.
 The heart of the glue system is the V-20-001 Fluid Control On/Off Valve, a snuff-back valve designed to provide trouble-free triggering in high-production extrusion applications. The wetted passages are 300-series stainless, and seal kits are available in a variety of compounds to guarantee compatibility with all types of adhesives. Attached to the Fluid Control Valve is a custom-designed extrusion head.
The Fluid Control Valve and extrusion head are mounted on our FJ-01-009 Positioning Bracket. This adjustable bracket provides a stable mounting structure. Dovetail pathways offer vertical and horizontal micro adjustment for maximum precision and flexibility.
In order to minimize glue usage and provide a strong adhesive bond, proper triggering of the fluid on/off valve is crucial and is handled with a Precision Technologies Timing Control Package or within the metering system's On- Point® PLC Control System.
Coupled with the Fluid Control Valve, FJ-01-009 Positioning Bracket, and a custom extrusion head, the WVCO Extrusion Application System provides reliable production and long term durability.

FINGER JOINT APPLICATION SYSTEMS
The Precision Technologies FJ-01-009 finger joint applicator is designed to survive in the high-cycle world of finger jointing.
The adjustable positioning bracket provides a stable mounting structure and features dovetail pathways, micro adjustment in both axes, and quick-release locking devices. A break-away head mounting design allows the applicator head to swing away if material becomes misaligned and then reposition automatically once the obstruction is corrected.
 The V-20-001 fluid control on/off valve is designed specifically for the FJ-01-009 finger joint applicator. All wetted parts are made of 300-series stainless steel to ensure long life. The seal kits are available in a variety of compounds to guarantee compatibility with all types of adhesives. The valve seals are common sizes readily available at any seal house.

 METERING SYSTEMS
Precision Technologies specializes in the design and manufacture of custom metering, proportioning, and dispensing systems. Our systems are used in a wide variety of industrial applications that require accurate proportioning and dispensing of single and multi- component liquid materials. POWDER TO LIQUID BATCH MIXING
Mix Manager® PM-100 Powder Mixer
The WVCO Precision Technologies Mix Manager® PM-100 Powder Mixer is designed to meter batch ingredients by weight. The base system utilizes two pumps and an auger to move the components into the mixing container. Batch sizes can range from a minimum of three gallons to a maximum of ten gallons.
The powder and liquid components are added by weight into the mixing tank in a sequence specified by the batch formulation. Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, they are transferred to a storage tank that can be wrapped with a chiller coil for temperature conditioning of the mixed batch.  The storage tank has a manual discharge valve.
The PM-100 is designed to operate unattended in the automatic mode using a PLC to control formulation, mix time, batch size, and dispensing of mixed adhesive to the storage container. This unit may also be operated in manual mode, which makes it very versatile.

Precision Technologies' Mix Manager®
The Mix Manager® technology provides safe, efficient mixing of two-component adhesive. Mix Manager® utilizes our On-Point® programming to accurately meter and mix resin and catalyst in a constant ratio as required by the manufacturer of the components. Up to three ratios or batch sizes are factory preset to your specifications for consistent batch mixing.
The Mix Manager® connects directly to your material supply containers providing safe, efficient, and clean transfer of resin and catalyst into the mixer. The mixing container is closed during operation to prevent chemical contamination and splashing.

Mix Manager® Mod I
The Mod I is your efficient and consistent small, crosslinking, batch mixer for worry-free batches at the push of a button. Four-gallon batches run unattended once the mix cycle has started. A simple, air-operated lid lift is interlocked to the controller to prevent the system from metering or mixing when there is no pail present or when the lid is in the raised position. The mix motor plate rests on the five-gallon container during the process to ensure that all of the adhesive remains in the container.

Mix Manager® Mod II
The Mod II eliminates operator handling of mixed chemical. Each batch is electronically triggered to mix and dispense adhesive by a low-level sensor placed in the lower holding tank. A secondary pump transfers the mixed material to the point of use. The Mod II can be configured for use with a finger joint applicator, roll coater, or other adhesive application equipment. The system will automatically shut down and alarm if either component supply runs out of product.

Bulk Powder Handling System
If you are mixing and dispensing casein adhesives, wheat flour, shell flour, or wood flour, you need the power of the Precision Technologies bulk powder handling system. WVCO is a leader in computerized mixing and dispensing of multi-component adhesives, and this system is a breakthrough that will save time and money while providing a safer, cleaner work environment. Depending on the distance the product is to be moved, the system will utilize either a diaphragm pump or an auger in combination with a fluidizing bed to move up to 80 pounds of powder per minute. The frame is mounted on load cells, allowing accurate removal of precise quantities for use in a glue mix. The system makes use of our On-Point® programming technology to meet your needs for the additions of washwater, freshwater, latexes, or defoamers.
